Privacy policy
ADHD Cleaning is developed by Gurdeep Singh ("we", "us"), who is responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at proconverted@gmail.com.
The short version. ADHD Cleaning works on your phone, without an account. Your rooms, tasks, sessions and photos stay on your device unless you choose to share or back them up. The only things that ever reach our server are the optional household features, the optional AI helpers ("Break it down", "Make it smaller" and "Plan from a photo"), anonymous usage counts if you choose to share them, and — once you have used household or Break it down — an anonymous id that lets us confirm your Pro purchase. We do not sell data, show ads, or track you across apps.
What stays on your phone
- Your home, rooms, tasks, steps, sessions, coins, collectibles and settings, stored in a local database.
- Before and after photos and timelapses, stored in the app's private folder. They leave your phone only when you tap Save to Photos or Share. "Plan from a photo" uses a separate photo you take for it, and only when you confirm (see below).
- Reminders, which are local notifications scheduled on the device. We use no push service.
- Your backup file, if you export one. It contains everything above except photo files, and is yours to keep wherever you put it.
What reaches our server, and when
Our server is used only for the features below. Solo use never contacts it.
| Feature | What is sent | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Device token | A random token created for your phone the first time you use a server feature. We store only a hash of it. | To know which household and daily allowance belong to your phone. It is not linked to your name, email or any account. |
| Household | The display name you type, shared task names and rooms, and who claimed or finished them. | So the people you invite can see the shared list, the weekly fair-share counts and live sprints. |
| Live sprints | Your display name and a count of things done, for the duration of the sprint. | So participants see each other's progress. Nothing is stored after the sprint ends. |
| Break it down | The task name and room you typed, your own estimate of how long it takes if you set one, and which of the app's languages you read, so the steps come back in it. | Our server sends only that text to DeepSeek, an AI provider, to produce small steps. The app asks for your permission the first time and does not send anything until you give it; you can withdraw it in Settings. Results are cached on our server by task text, not by user. |
| Make it smaller | The task name and room, the one step you are stuck on, and the app's language. | Same as Break it down: sent on to DeepSeek to split that step into smaller ones, after the same permission. |
| Plan from a photo | One photo of a room that you take or pick for this, the room's name and the app's language. Before it leaves your phone the app re-encodes it at a small size and removes its location, capture time and camera details; it then shows you the photo and asks you to confirm, every time. | Our server passes the photo to DeepSeek, which suggests a few tasks for the room. The photo is not stored, cached or logged by our server, and is not linked to your device token. You choose which suggestions to keep. |
| Usage sharing (off unless you turn it on) | Which screens and offers were used: for example that the Pro page was opened from the voice button, which plan was chosen, that a session ended and how long it ran. Each event carries a random id made for this purpose only, your phone's platform and language. Never task or room names, photos, anything you typed, or your device token or purchase id. | So we can see which parts of the app help and which get in the way. The id cannot be tied to your device token, household or purchase, and turning sharing off in Settings deletes it from your phone, so later events cannot be joined to earlier ones. We keep these rows for about 13 months and never sell or share them. |
| Pro status | The anonymous customer id RevenueCat creates for your phone. | So our server can ask RevenueCat whether that phone has Pro, rather than taking the app's word for it, and so one Pro can cover everyone in a household. The id is a random string from RevenueCat; it holds no name, email or payment details. |
Leaving a household removes your membership; a household with no members is deleted. Uninstalling the app discards the device token, and the server copy expires with it.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, which manages entitlements for us. We receive purchase status, not your payment details. RevenueCat gives your phone an anonymous customer id; the app sends that id to our server once you use a server feature, so the server can confirm Pro with RevenueCat before answering. Cancel at any time in your App Store account settings.
The AI step helper
"Break it down", "Make it smaller" and "Plan from a photo" are the only features that send anything you typed or photographed to a third party, and only when you ask for it. "Plan from a photo" asks before every photo. Before the first request the app shows what will be sent and waits for your answer; Settings → AI task breakdown turns it back off. The text goes to our server and on to DeepSeek, which is operated by a company in China, so that is where the text is processed. We send no device token, name or location with it. If you would rather nothing left your phone, leave the permission off — every other part of the app works without it.
Crash reports
Some builds include Sentry crash reporting. When the app crashes it sends a stack trace, device model, OS version and app version. It sends no personal data, photos, task names or identifiers we control.
Camera, photos and microphone
Camera access is used only for before and after photos and timelapses. Photo library access is used only when you pick a photo or save one. The microphone permission is requested by the camera system for timelapses but no audio is recorded.
Photos are stripped of their embedded metadata — GPS coordinates, capture time and camera model — when the app saves them, so a picture you share or save back to your library does not carry the location of your home. Timelapses are encoded without metadata for the same reason.
Voices
Guided-session voices are pre-recorded audio files bundled with the app. Nothing you say or do is sent to a voice service.
Children
The app is for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We knowingly collect no data from children.
Your choices
- Use the app entirely offline by never joining a household, never using the AI helpers and leaving usage sharing off.
- Withdraw permission for the AI step helper at any time in Settings → AI task breakdown.
- Usage sharing is off unless you turn it on, when your home is set up or in Settings → Share anonymous usage, and you can turn it off there at any time.
- Manage or cancel Pro in your App Store account settings.
- Delete everything with Settings → Start over, or by uninstalling the app.
- Leave a household at any time from Settings → Household.
- Email us to ask what our server holds for your device token, or to have it removed.
Not medical advice
ADHD Cleaning is a household-care tool. It does not diagnose, treat or replace care from a health professional.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will tell you and the date at the top will move.
